Ireland Consulting Services, LLC was founded by Alice Ireland, a veteran leader with more than 18 years of experience in building and strengthening NERC compliance programs across the electric utility industry.

Over the course of her career, Alice has observed a growing trend: compliance procedures that look sufficient on paper but fail in practice — lacking executable processes, clear accountability, and defined responsibilities. These gaps put companies’ assets, reputations and ultimately the security and reliability of our nation’s electric grid at risk.

Ireland Consulting Services, LLC was created to change that. Alice established the firm on a simple belief: compliance should be practical, executable, and effective.

About Alice:

Alice has worked in the electricity industry for 26 years including a large investor-owned utility, a medium-sized generation and transmission cooperative, a PV solar renewable company, and a consulting company providing NERC CIP and O&P services to traditional and renewable companies. Alice has participated in and/or led over 15 external compliance audits, conducted numerous mock audits, developed and conducted risk assessments, internal control inventory and analysis, developed a variety of programs and procedures, sponsored and participated in the implementation of compliance management tools and cloud services.

Alice has also been an active member in a variety of industry groups and committees including the NERC Standards Committee, NERC Certification and Compliance Committee, Security Working Group (under the NERC Reliability, Security and Technical Committee), NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Committee, Western Interconnection Compliance Forum Steering Committee, and the North American Transmission Forum’s Risk, Controls and Compliance Steering Committee.
